Job Title: Leading Hand / Carpenter
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand / Carpenter to join our team at James Samuels Builder. In this role, you will oversee carpentry projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, guiding a team of carpenters and apprentices while collaborating effectively with other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry work, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering skill development and teamwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and sketches to execute projects accurately.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
Conduct quality checks to uphold craftsmanship standards throughout all stages of construction.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 4 years experience.
Cert III Carpentry
Drivers licence (own vehicle)
White card
Tools
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Contractors Administrator to join James Samuels Builder. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing administrative tasks related to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring smooth project operations. Key duties include maintaining contractor records, preparing and managing contracts, verifying compliance with insurance and licensing requirements, processing invoices, and assisting with project scheduling. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain contracts and project documentation.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Track contractor schedules, deliverables, and performance.
Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to resolve issues.
Maintain up-to-date records of licenses, certifications, and insurance.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
